Hi Keith,

Just wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed reading all
your race reports over my morning coffee!
Love your sense of humour...

Hi Keith,

I really enjoyed reading all your reports again all in one
place.  One of my brother in laws has done 2 Ironmen
competitions just did the last one first week end in Nov.
Since I know how focused he was while training I am sure
Sandy is happy to have her husband back.  Smiley What a
bonus to you both doing endurance together.  Steve
will trail ride with me and averages one  a  week, but
his work load keeps him to busy to take more time
for riding.
When I go riding it is usually my son who I have taught
to ride who goes with me.  He helps saddle the horses
and gives me a boost into the saddle since my left leg
does not work well.  It looks like he will be doing the
rides with me as I try to prepare to do CTR's next
year.  We will see.

Congratulations on ending the season sound and smiling! (Not to mention victorious. It's ALL GOOD!) I can't think of any other equine sport that bonds horse and rider any tighter than endurance.
What are your goals for next season? Are you considering stepping Blues up to 100's? Sounds like he will be ready to try. Not all horses make the changeover to the slower travel, but it would sure be another major achievement to have gaited horses top 10 in the ultimate. How about multi-day? I'll bet he'd kick butt.
Has anyone from MFTHBA shown any interest in working with you/getting started in endurance? Perhaps a weekend workshop to encourage those sitting on the fence....?
Man, it would sure be a blast to come crew for you if you know you will have to run solo some weekend. Shoot, I had to drive to Little Rock, then Ava for the BOD meeting, then on to Mt. Vernon last week to deliver a rescue dog to my Cousin. I might be a zombie by the end of all the driving, but taking some of the load off at vet checks and at least having a hot meal ready for you when it's ll done would be a privilege. Primitive camping is a pleasure to me.I can't recall ever racing where there was power and water that wasn't trucked in!  I can tote hay and buckets and follow orders with the best of them.
Folks just don't know what they are missing!

So Keith... how many people are telling you a MFT can't do endurance now? LOl.... Blues is a good ambassador, thanks for giving him that chance and Congratulations to a fine job well done!
