Silver's Wild Kate

I get made fun of for smooching on her.

Kate is my sweet heart mare. Years ago I bought her as a green broke two year old at a Tennessee Walking Horse sale in Kentucky. She was scrawny and pacey. Somehow, I knew she was the horse for me. After some loving care, and many races, she has absolutely proved me right. Kate is my once in a life time horse. She is a Grand Daughter of Silver Design and a Great Grand Daughter of both Pride's Generator and The Pusher. I dont catch the horse, she catches me and I get a kiss.

As of early 2015, she has 19 starts and 19 finishes in endurance at under a 100 miles and has 5 100 mile completions. She also has had 5 Best Condition Awards. She is the first and only TWH to have a first place or Best Condition Award in a 100. She has done both. In 2011 Kate completed four LDs and five 50s. She has won Best Condition at LD, 50 and 100. In 2010 she was the top point Tennessee Walking Horse in the United States in endurance.

In April of 2010 she was leading the Ozark Trails 100 when a huge storm hit. The course was changed and a mistake occurred in the course layout. She finished the event 15 minutes off the lead after completing not 100 miles, but 119 miles. Kate has incredible heart and personality. She is most definitely not for sale and we will grow old together..
