Pippin - Sold
The little engine that could.
Pippin is a registered Tennessee Walking Horse gelding who's papers were lost in a fire when his previous owner's house burned. His stat list on the right side of the page is filled with the things that we don't know about him, however we will tell you here what we DO know. Pippin is a good boy, and gentle, and sweet. He's as sorrel as sorrel comes.
He previously belonged to a friend of mine that is a flatshod Tennessee Walker trainer and was his top horse. For some reason, he took a fancy to a gelding I owned that was too big for endurance, and we shook on it. He always did have a soft spot for the pretty ones, I guess. My daughter was thrilled when Pippin came home because she'd ridden him growing up. She also wouldn't let me change his name.
Pippin is a gentle spirit who lives here in the mare herd and would love to not live in the mare herd. He has done his first 30 mile LD in June of 2011 at Dead Dog Creek in Illinois. He came in second place and handled the event well with no mishaps. Pippin is smooth as silk in his rack at 10-12 mph and can motor all day long. He will be headed for 50 mile events. He's also a great trail horse, superbly behaved, and has a very nice running walk and racking gait.
